The title might seem very hectic but this blog is actually quite simple , with terms explained in layman language, so just give it a go . Hope you enjoy it . One thing is for sure , you'll be able to understand the plot of INTERSTELLAR easily after reading this 👍

WORMHOLES : WHAT?
Wormholes are also called Einstein-Rosen Bridge , named after the very famous scientists Albert Einstein and Nathan Rosen.
Do one thing , take a paper and mark 2 points some distance apart on it . Now what's the shortest distance to take so that one reaches from point A to B in smallest amount of time, you might think wtf I am talking about , its a straight line but NO , if you are "very smort" you might as well think it's a brachistochrone curve , I'll deny to that as well. Think out of the 2 dimensions of the paper and create a new dimension that is 3D . Roll the paper and create a hole with your pencil , penetrating both the points at the same time . Your pencil is the shortest distance to travel , it represents the bridge or the wormhole , trivial right ? ✅
Now let's think in account with actual Space , the three co-ordinate system ( x,y and z ) . In case of the paper we created and additional dimension , we will do the same thing here and go into 4D 😳
The fourth dimension is TIME 🕚
Fig.69.420 Hope this photo makes you understand a lot .
(In this photo the space has been represented in 2D for better understanding, but actually its 3D and the wormhole is a sort of a sphere in 4D)
Now, the questions that arises is that do , wormholes really exist ? If yes , then where tf are they ?
The answer to this question is that , wormholes are based on a special solution of Einstien's field equation . Yes , Albert Einstein. All of his theories have proved to be a success at all points in space (except the inside of bloody blackholes ) . So based on his excellent record and some other studies supporting this theory , one can easily say that yes wormholes do exist .
Where are they ?
Can be anywhere , near Saturn's rings or even in your cupboard 😶
Why are they not yet distinctivly discovered ?
Well we are small and weak creatures , we humans , who cannot understand anything beyond our brain's capacity , beyond 3D

Wormhole travel
Wormholes can take us to places that we could have never imagined , or if we tried to go to that place taking the old traditional path it would have cost us 69 billion years . Wormholes can take us to such places within a matter of minutes or so . The other end of a wormhole can open anywhere, a new universe or some new undiscovered galaxy or our own earth but back in 1869 (yes , time machine ) , but don't start feeling happy about it , wormhole travel is not yet possible 😉

Q: Can we travel faster than light in a wormhole ?
Answer : Yes 👍 and no👎
🖕
This is a notion about which most of the population is misinformed about , and hence they term it as a paradox .
Go back to figure 69.420 and visualize that light is taking the path of the red arrow to reach to a particular point in space, and you are taking the path of the green arrow, then obviously you, the traveller will be faster than light to reach that point
However, light will beat the traveller without any doubt if both take the same part
PROBLEM = SOLVED

That's enough knowledge for today.
Now go and watch INTERSTELLAR and brag about it .
Lastly, if by any chance you still have a doubt about this blog make a phone call to Elon and just say my name
